Privacy Policy
The short version
I don't run accounts, I don't track you, and I don't sell data. Cosmic Reversi collects no personal information. Its ads come from Google AdMob and are always requested as non-personalized. Purchases are handled by Apple on iPhone and iPad and by Google Play on Android, and achievements by Game Center or Google Play Games.
Cosmic Reversi
Game data. Your Stardust balance, owned cosmetics, win record and achievement progress stay on your device. They can be included in your iCloud device backup, and they are erased when you delete the app. The game has no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking.
Advertising. Unless you own Supporter, the game shows ads from Google AdMob. Every ad request is marked non-personalized, which tells Google not to use your profile or interests to choose ads. Because the game doesn't track you across other apps or websites, it never asks for tracking permission. Google's ad software still collects some data to deliver and measure ads, such as device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostics. I only see total earnings, never anything about individual players. Google describes this in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Reward videos. Watching a video for a bonus after a match is always optional. Nothing in the game is locked behind one.
Purchases. Supporter is a one-time purchase handled by Apple. I never see your payment details; the game only learns whether you own it.
Game Center. Game Center is optional. If you use it, Apple stores your achievements and leaderboard scores under your Apple Account. The game only reads and writes your achievement progress and your longest winning streak. See Apple's privacy policy.
Cosmic Reversi on Android
Everything above applies on Android too, with Google in Apple's place:
Game data. Your progress stays on your phone. Android's own backup can include it in your Google Account backup, so it comes back on a new phone; that backup is stored and managed by Google, not by me. Uninstalling the game erases the copy on the phone.
Advertising. The same AdMob ads, also always requested as non-personalized. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choices before any ad is requested, and you can change them later from the game's Settings under Privacy Options.
Purchases. Supporter is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play. I never see your payment details; the game only learns whether you own it.
Google Play Games. If the game offers Play Games and you use it, Google stores your achievements and leaderboard scores under your Play Games profile. See Google's privacy policy.
Browser games and tools
The games and tools that run in your browser are hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes basic request data such as your IP address to serve the pages. Anything a browser game or tool saves, such as settings or a model you're working on, stays in your browser's local storage unless you export it yourself.
Contact form and email
If you send a message through the contact form, I receive your name, email address and message. Netlify stores form submissions on my behalf. I use them only to reply to you and to fix the problems you report, and I delete them on request.
Children
Cosmic Reversi is rated 4+ on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play. It doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, its ads are non-personalized so no interest profile is built from play, and Supporter removes ads entirely. If you believe a child has sent me personal information through the contact form, get in touch and I'll delete it.
Your choices
You can remove ads entirely with Supporter, reset your advertising identifier in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security, Tracking, or on Android under Settings, Privacy, Ads, or delete the app to erase your local progress. Game Center data is managed in Apple's Game Center settings, and Play Games data in the Google Play Games app. To ask what I hold about you, or to have it deleted, use the contact form.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date.
